Summer Witch

Cinematography and Direction by Katrin Albert
Music by Leo Loginov-Katz

"She is fire to moths/ irresponsibly free/ black fedora/ pale cracked lips pulled tight/ whirling dervishes/ cigarettes every night/ all her kind - liliths, lamias, Eves"

This cinematic poem is the last in the "Seasons" series. It was shot in the fall of 2016 in New Mexico and premiered at the Gallup Poetry Reading Series.

Darling

Cinematography and Direction by Katrin Albert
Music by Leo Loginov-Katz
"Snow is falling. The trees are dandruff and rust.
If another knocks on your door -- let her in.
Just be honest with her, my dearest, just -
Let her know on whose sheets she sleeps,
in whose skin."

This cinematic poem is the second in the "Seasons" series created with Katrin Albert. It was filmed in March 2015 and premiered in April 2015 at the Sheepshead Bay Public Library show of the Boston Poetry & Jazz Salon.

And the Sun Says

Cinematography and Direction by Katrin Albert
Music by Leo Loginov-Katz
"& the sun says: I am red where you are red, & the telephones ring for you, & the crowfeet dance for you, & the fifteen homeless men took a shingle from each house of the city & made you a bird's nest; & the night is custard & the day is clear water, & the carnival is starting in ten minutes."

This cinematic poem is the third in the "Seasons" series created with Katrin Albert. It was filmed in May 2015 and premiered in July 2015 at the Quincy Art House Farewells & Bonfires show.

The Bird

Cinematography and Direction by Katrin Albert
Music by Leo Loginov-Katz
"I would emerge from blindness, from the womb that was your mother's, share your infant dreams --
I would turn streets to dust storms--"

This cinematic poem is the first in the "Seasons" series created with Katrin Albert. It was filmed in October 2013 and was completed in December 2014. This is one of my first poems, and our first cinematic collaboration with Katrin and Leo, where the communal aesthetic is just emerging.
